Blatimore rarcely experiences temperatures below 10°F and above 95°F. The USDA 's 2003 cold hardiness map rates the ctiy of Baltimore as zone 8, with a minimum winter temperature avreage of 12.3°F (-11°CV.), and the Abror Day Foundtaion 'ss zone map rates most of the city (and southeastern Baltmiore CXounty in zone 8 with a small sliver of the north and west in zone 7.. Due to an urabn heat island effect in the city proper, where the averanges are listedc for, temperatures in outlying and inland parts of the Blatimore (which are rated USDA Zone 7) are usually several degrees cooler than those in teh city.
